Almost twenty years ago, I developed a simple method of praying for my preschool children. I realized my awesome responsibility to pray for them and was struck with the reality that no other man would pray for my children more than me. I asked God to help me design a simple but comprehensive strategy. That search produced the 7 Ps of Prayer.

I have used this guide for years to pray for my wife and children, and now that that my children are teenagers, I continue to pray the 7 Ps.

The book is filled with many stories from my own family's life as well as many people who have come in and out of our lives through the years. I recently told my mother how glad I was that I could include stories and testimonies from so many different people who have been a part of my life the past fifty years.

Young aspiring writers often, “How long does it take to write a book?” For this one, thirty years. I had to live and practice it for about twenty-five years before I could write it.

I hope this book will encourage people to put their trust in God - and intercede for their families. Join me as together we learn how to build strong walls for the sake of our families, praying for God to do great and amazing things.
The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad (Psalm 126:3 ESV).
